Dear student,

I am very much glad to hear that you are interested to know about the basic corporate requirement from a student.

Let me tell you very frankly that the first 30 second of your Personal Interview is sufficient time to judge you and beyond 30 seconds they are either confirm their earlier judgement or verify the dispute if any arises during their Interview.

Generally the corporate houses select students through Aptitude Test, Group Discussion and finally Personal Interview. The first two are elimination test and the balance is a selective test.

Moreover they look for the candidate with very positive attitude who can do anything if asked for or can comeout from any difficult situation.

Ultimately they require the candidate with customer oriented or customer friendly in whatever position he or she applied for. Their body language should show all the above points.

I hope everybody of your group will try to develop these criteria amonst yourself.

Gearing up for placements

With all endeavor and starvation for grabbing good placements "MENTOR" was launched on 7.2.09.The idea of "MENTOR" was from one of our colleague Mr.Chandranath Nandi,a student from 3rd sem of EIILM-Kolkata.His idea was then acknowledged by few other students from 3rd sem namely Diptamoy Sarkar,Sanjay Kumar Pandit,Abhay Narayan Singh,Victor Adhikary and our Dean(Academics) Ms.Ishita Dutta Roy with Prof.Chitresh Coomer.Thus "MENTOR" was formed.

The club is formed not only to prepare students for placements but also for fighting through competition among themselves and recession.'MENTOR" is taking responsibilities of all the prcedures for better communication , aptitude tests and GDPI.It has announced for a weekly aptitude tests on every saturday from 12 noon,with group study once in the weekdays.GDPI will be followed soon.The registeration fees is only Rs.2.It has to be renewed every week.

"MENTOR" is deeply thankful to all the faculties of EIILM,specially Ms. IShita Dutta Roy (Dean-academics) and Prof.Chitresh Coomer for preparing question sets and reviewing anserscripts.

The results of 1st aptitude test taken on 7.2.09 will be published very soon.
